History

Bordeaux's history dates back to 300BC. Originally, the city, which was the settlement of a celtic tribe back then, was named "Burdigala." 240 years later, in 60BC, the town was taken over by the Romans. Since the Romans took over, the art of making wine was brought into the city, along with many other skills. This caused alot of violence between the Celts and Romans.
